Google Classroom vs. Website

If you are a regular visitor to teacher websites, you may notice that this one, while still valid, has not been updated in some time. We have a relatively new tool, called Google Classroom, that allows regular communication between teachers and students about classwork expectations, assignments, grading, and all parts of class that students need to know in order to be successful.  I have been using this tool regularly for the past couple of years because I find it very useful and helpful with students. Unfortunately, Google Classroom is within our closed system of communication at school, which means that parents cannot see this from outside the closed system. A work around is for parents to ask their student to show them what is on Google Classroom regularly. I have also been trying to keep the team website calendar updated with ELA due dates and assignments, so that parents can check there as well. I hope this information is helpful!
